Mike's Tom (on left) was a mature bird that weighed 23 lbs. It actually had a double beard, but Mike shot most of the beard into the next county. The birds spurs were 1 inch. Steve's monster Turkey (picured on right) was definitely a dominant bird weighing 26 lbs. |

Here is Roger and John Petry from West Virginia during 3rd season. Roger shot his 24lb bird off a cliff and it landed in a muddy creek. It sure did have a nice "ROPE" on it measuring over 11 inches and 1 1/4 inch spurs. John missed an opportunity at a monster double bearded Tom and had to settle for a Jake. He didn't want to be the only one in camp without a bird. Everyone else harvested a nice Mature Tom! |
